Hi there!
I am super happy with the new T865X and the DMD2 Controller 2.
What I am not so happy about is the haptics of the pushbuttons on the Controller2. I cant really feel If I otessed while I have gloves on.
Before I used the Terrain Command controller, and the haptics of the buttons were awesome.
Is there a way to change the buttons?
And does anyone have a source how to get those buttons with better haptics?
Cheers David

Hey! It’s been a while since I checked in here but now with group sharing in DMD it’s really a great time to liven this place up!
Really looking forward to test the group sharing feature. Have you tried it yet?2 Comments -

Hey gang! I am new here and I am about to pull the plug and purchase a DMD-T865/X. Still on the fence for which one. I notice that I see many riders using this unit for off road but I wanted to know how well does the DMD unit do with announced turn by turn directions. i am coming from a Garmin Zumo XT2 and I have been use to that system for announcing directions. I would also like to know how the DMD links up with a PacTalk Bold Edge. Thanks for any newbie feedback

Yes, if you navigate to a place on your map, a POI or route you will get turn by turn navigation. I have no idea about your second question, sorry. I don’t use coms on my units.

Thank you for the response. If anyone out there is running a Cardo/Sena unit in combination with the DMD system please give me a shout.

Hi, I am using a Cardo PT Edge with T865 and they pair just like any other mobile phone / tablet. Not using the Audio for Navigation (more of a visual guy) but Spotify etc. work like you would expect it. Hope that helps. Cheers

No, you cannot change the buttons, the device is sealed and filled with epoxy.
The issue with long travel buttons like the Terrain Command is that they allow dust/sand inside and can start to jam on dusty terrains.
My favourite buttons for remotes are without a doubt the same as Remote 2.
