Although we have not !yet! really set our target on the Racing department we been working in the shadows collecting feedback from riders so that we can develop some Racing tested products. We have not released many Racing oriented upgrades or new products besides adding the M12 Screw Type Connection on our T865 (for power and remote) and having our DMD Remote1 use a cable connection. But if you are into racing, we can assure we have some exciting things in development for 2024!
Here is a testimony by Gladne Vrane who just won the first place on the Riverside Rally:
“So basically I wanted to test the DMD tablet – T-865, the included holder with integrated pogo-pins and the DMD handlebar long bracket in extreme conditions as jumping on a MX track with a big ADV bike (Tenere 700). I wanted to do this to be sure that the whole system would stay in the same position for when i do rally-racing like the Hellas or the Dinaric or any other rally race.
Before switching to the DMD Navigation solution I have been using a Samsung Active 3 and RAM mount cradle. The annoying thing with the Samsung / RAM mount was movement of the holder during the race (specially on some bumps or high-speed holes), then there was the lack of consistent power supply on pogo-pins and finally there was the total weight which was way more then my new system.
DMD Navigation system has been mounted on my T7 Rally bike and tested on the MX track – Bukovik in Serbia with a lot of jumps and dust as well. I’m fully satisfied on the end with results that DMD are providing to the rider and can’t wait to try it on Hellas Rally that will come just in a two weeks from now. Just this weekend I made a short one day race event at Riverside Rally in Serbia that I finished in 1st place – on the podium. I really like the design and simplicity of the DMD Navigation system. It is lightweight and handles very demanding terrains such as MX tracks and Rally racing. The setup stays in place and provides consistent battery charging.
I know that the DMD Team will keep developing and improving their products and that they will grow to become the reference that will please all the ADV / TET / BDR / ACT riders. I am looking forward to see some further development points (hardware and software) based on feedback from a demanding racing user like myself. I had the pleasure to see some of the future upgrades and some new in-development secret products, it made me think that 2024 will be the year that DMD will blow everyones mind!” -
