Hey gang! I am new here and I am about to pull the plug and purchase a DMD-T865/X. Still on the fence for which one. I notice that I see many riders using this unit for off road but I wanted to know how well does the DMD unit do with announced turn by turn directions. i am coming from a Garmin Zumo XT2 and I have been use to that system for announcing directions. I would also like to know how the DMD links up with a PacTalk Bold Edge. Thanks for any newbie feedback

    • Yes, if you navigate to a place on your map, a POI or route you will get turn by turn navigation. I have no idea about your second question, sorry. I don’t use coms on my units.

      • Thank you for the response. If anyone out there is running a Cardo/Sena unit in combination with the DMD system please give me a shout.

  • Hi everyone, I am lookin for some good tracks to ride Norwegian territory next summer.

With every production batch that we do for the T865 we improve something, over the last year we made over 50 improvements to increase the quality of the device.
In the meanwhile our costumers biggest requests have been a better LCD panel and more storage space.
We listen to you, for the past year we been working with manufacturing to create the best LCD for Navigation, the highest brightness, absolute viewing angles, higher color space, polarisation, anti stain and brightness spots.
Its ready! Today we release the T865X, a second model, now with a new LCD and double the storage!

    DMD2 3.00088 released:
    – When a GPX Track and a GPX Route overlap the progress box gives priority to Route -> If you want to see the Track progress just use the GPX Manager to hide the Route
    – Improvements to the Map Downloader
    – When using the new Beta Web Planner the Route profile is store as extension in the GPX so that DMD2 will load the file with the same profile as default -> Can be changed by the user at any moment and it recalculates
    – Other small improvements
