With DMD-T865 connected directly to battery, when bike and tablet (power off) are off, does it still drain the bike battery to maintain the charge of the tablet?

If you have the metal holder it will consume battery if the tablet is inserted, specially because the tablet will be ON all the time. It automatically turns on when it is being powered. If you remove the tablet then no power is consumed by the holder alone.
