Hello John Since I updated to 2.99964 I can not use Lawnchair any more it allways crashes. Tried to clean cache and data did not help.

had the same problem. If you are using a Carpe, Upgrade to Android 11 solved that problem for me. Information on how to do so can be found on there website.

maybe before updating the device, just install lawnchair 2, it worked for me….

just saying, updating to 11 is good thing, but not easy for everybody, so…set home app not lawnchair, set e.g. DMD2, force stop lawnchair, remove it, playstore search lawnchair 2, install it, set it as a home app…worked for me…i will have to do 11 update also but still afraid for now…

      Hi John..

updated to last version on CI Pad V4…now I have DMD2 Trial warning 30 days and OBD2 demo mode 15min…

I think, if I remember correctly, you mentioned that CI users will have full version as default on the device…

is something changed or this is just testing version?

      thx

Das Foto auf T865 nicht auf SD Karte gespeichert werden kann liegt leider an Android 12. Kann ich auf der DMD2 Landkarte Wegpunkte setzen? Auf der Karte interessante Punkte setzen?

#Herbert H: Why do you keep writing in German on an English forum, knowing that the majority of the people cannot read it? It feels a bit arrogant to me.

      same here…

…and doing this after many warnings from Admin is even more dumb…

      Hi John,

for past week I’ve been riding 2000km off road track’s in Bosnia with my africa twin, carpe iter v4 & DMD2 beta. First hand, 3-4 times when using off road navigation thru DMD2, lead me to a dead end. Probably you have an issue with the maps, I don’t know where You get them, but we needed to back track.

Also, when riding thru the woods on the mountains, when close to a dead end,2 times, I can see the another road but can’t get to it if You’re not Graham Jarvis with 100kg bike, probably again an issue with the maps you’re using.

Also, when trying Easy, Medium and Hard track calculation, I could not find an difference between the tracks. Maybe this is specific to my starting & destination point, but I was a little confused that all the tracks were the same even toe when passing on the track, I could see another roads.

When trying to navigate to address, many times after search, address not find, but when scrolling on the map, finding the address on the map, long press and it will navigate to it. Don’t know why it can not find by address type.

Will it be an option for like Favorites address input that can be selected without typing?

I have one complaint about track showing on the screen when navigating. On the track showed on the map, on device screen, every turn You highlight with and arrow box. When having few turns one after the other, you really cant see the track from all the arrow boxes. When You have an simple one road track, you can ignore this, but when cumming to an twisty woods crossroad with like 6 different lines divided by few meters, few of them going in the same direction at first, arrow boxes are in the way and sometimes need stopping and zooming in to find a correct path. Maybe to consider to reduce the arrow boxes, not on every one way road bend but to only crossroads or intersections or something like that.

Regarding the OBD function, I’ve read some were earlier that you said it’s only from 2019 and never, but my AT is from 2017 and OBD works fine.

In any case, keep up the awesome work.

      Cheers,

hi john…been using beta for few days…noticed, maybe you will not consider it a bug but I’ll share it and you can decide, when start navigation with dmd2 and in case there is no GPS fix, you don’t have the option for canceling the navigation…little window recalculation always popping out and only when GPS fix appears, you get the navigation menu…

for somebody this request will be maybe strange…but i always like to check the trip route before i start the ride, so if I’m preparing the route e.g. day before in my room and there is no GPS fix, pop up window keeps going on and off and route is highlighted on the screen…I’m using it beta version on Carpe Iter v4 if this has any role in this…

on the other hand, did you consider maybe, when on HOME screen, and on the left you have small navigation map, when press on this small map to change screen to map screen?…and this map small window, will it maybe be dependable on the current navigation app you are using or it will always be a dmd2 map?…

…but in any case, keep up the good work, this app will change adventure riding in the future even more…
