Stop auto zoom

I’m using DMD2 just on my phone, no special remote controllers. It works well for me this way.

For the life of me, I cannot work out how to stop the map from auto-zooming in on my location. Of course I would like to the map to follow my position, but when I set the zoom level (zoomed out for a larger overview), then I would like it to stay that way.

I’ve played around with the relevant settings but it’s not working for me – when I start riding, the map zooms in on my location again.

Does anyone have any wisdom for me with exact settings please?

I don’t have an answer,  but I second the thought,  auto zoom can be a pain.  Does anyone have an answer?

I have received an answer via the FB page: according to the developer the problem lies with zooming using the pinch method (two fingers) which will cause the program to somehow reset the zoom. The solution is using the plus and minus buttons on the screen for zooming. I have tried this, and as long as auto-zoom is turned off in the settings, the zoom holds.
