Hello community,
I did a quick search through the forums, unable to find the answer to an issue I assumed to be common to many of us.
I have the DMD-T865 permanently mounted on my bike, with DMD as the starting app. I have some sensitive apps installed, to streamline file exchanging (whatsapp, gmail, onedrive), so I need to have the device password/pattern protected to avoid 3rd party messing when the bike is unattended. The only small issue with this is that it appears that the auto-off app does not start when booting, it does so only after the first screen unlock. The consequence is that on short rides, when I don’t get to unlock the device, it does not turn off when I switch off the bike.
I looked through android’s settings, no success. It appeared promising to use the bluetooth handlebar remote as a “safe device” to keep the screen unlocked (it does), but it doesn’t work to unlock it.
Is there a workaround to this? Is it something workable to put on the development to-do’s list?
Regards
