A customer asked me the following:
On which connections of the DMD-T665 Charging Base should I solder a USB-C charging cable with 5V+ and 5V- wires in order to power the Charging Base via USB-C?
The connections for 5V+ and GND are generally straightforward. Does the DMD-T665 charge in this way, or does the USB-C cable also need connections for DET and RS5V?

None. That voids the warranty.
Every time we see questions like this, the next one is warranty related because the device “stopped” charging.
Use the 12V power converter or use our USB cable: https://www.thorkracing.com/produto/dmd-t665-charging-base-usb-cable/

Ok, thank you for these clarifying words, Joao.
Unfortunately, the customer does not have a USB-A port on his e-mountain bike, only a USB-C port.
Would it be a possible option for Thork Racing to assemble a cable with a USB-C connector and a DMD connector, provided the customer covers the cost and specifies the cable length?
Or as a second conceivable option: Could Thork Racing, on behalf of and at the expense of the customer, configure a DMD-T665 charging mount directly with a USB-C connection cable?
How else could the customer’s need to charge the DMD-T665 via the USB-C port on their e-mountain bike be addressed, aside from the proposed solutions?
Thanks in advanced
Michael
