I’m wondering about lazy created rubber cover for power back connector of T865-X. It doesn’t fit strong enough. So, if you youse only power supply by device holder pins – every time, you mount T865 onto the holder (or remove from) – the cover for the backside connector gets lost accidently!
This is a risk specialy for KTM 890 (>2022), because there is a hole in the wind screen (to reduce buffering on helmet). But this hole is exactly where the T865 power backside conector is. So, if you ride during rain, water splashes exacly onto the uncovered backside connector and may demage electronic.
Please send a spare cover 😉
And design a better fitting.
Kind regards
Rainer
Not sure you know but that cap is not doing anything there… the connector is fully waterproof even when exposed.

Haha, I lost mine too and put ducktape on it.
Would also have preferred another design to the soft rubber cap.
Can I buy a pack of five? Or is the something that can be screwed in?

…hmm if the connector itself is waterproof (dustproof too?) – why then is the device delivered with rubber cap?
I would be reassured if a screw cap (as with the cable ends) were supplied instead of the rubber cap.
