Maps for route planning

Testing dmd2 to replace My Garmin xt. How can i do route planning from a pc or tablet using the same maps as the dmd2? The color coding of the tricks are just brillant but the gpx editor do  ot seem to have the same map option?

Not sure if this helps, but I have been using Google Maps as my online editor, copying the finished route’s weblink and using mapstogpx.com to create a gpx file for dmd2. Works good, so long as you’re able to create a proper route within GMaps.
