Maps don’t appear on first load

I am facing the identical issue. Went on trails in Portugal with KTM Adv. Rally. The first two days were good, but it was the third day that made it worthwhile. It appears to be a significant issue that has never occurred in my 20 years of using Garmin devices.

Was the toggle trick successful for you? My device simply ceased to function after some time. Likely related to caching in some way.

Yes, the maps were working fine on a Sunday ride, I got home and noticed a map update was available. I downloaded it  and all my map data was gone.

 

I deleted the map and reloaded and it worked fine.
