DMD2 3.00048I have Great Britain and Iceland maps downloaded. Only GB is toggled on.
When I first load the device and go to the map screen, my position is visible, but the map is not. I fix it by going to the map layers and toggling GB off then on again. I have to do this every time I turn the device on.
I Do have the same problem.
Only satellite view work. The road map I downloaded don’t appear.
How to fix it? 😭
Did the toggle trick work for you? Mine just stopped doing it after a while. Probably something to do with caching.
When maps do not load it usually means you have a corrupted file.
Make sure you have the latest version of DMD2 and download the map file again.DMD2 Project Manager & Lead Developer

Uninstall / reinstall the DMD2 software and download the map again.
@johnkeel – you are probably right as it would probably work to only reinstall the map. But anyway it work fine nowI have just received the smartphone from thork racing and the map on Great Britain was working OK, but as soon as I switch between portrait mode and landscape it crashes and blue screen appears. I’ve reinstalled the app several times and even tried not to update to the latest version and it still does it. It does have the same issue on both screens. I’m not sure what else I can do. The app is set as home app. I am a bit desperate at the moment as I’m planning a big trip and need this to be reliable. Gpx loads ok and even riding for hours was brilliant as long as you don’t turn the screen to portrait… Any help is appreciated.

When you say you “installed” the app several times, what do you mean by this? Are you installing DMD2 from the Play Store?
You need to use the version included on the device.
Make sure the device is updated to the latest version: https://www.drivemodedashboard.com/support/faqs/?Display_FAQ=9025
And lock the device rotation on the settings, screen lock is explained here: https://www.drivemodedashboard.com/getting-started/If the app is actually crashing, and the device is connected to the internet we will get crash logs and we will be able to fix it.
If you are using SD Cards make sure the SD Card is formatted as removable storage and NOT as Expanded Internal Memory.

Buy Me a CoffeeI have the same problem. Rode with KTM Adv. Rally the tracks in Portugal. Two days were fine until the 3 rd day it was worth. That seams to be big bug and never happened to me the 20 years before when I used Garmin devices.
