Map difference query.,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum topic.

I see there is the option to down load the Great Britain map as well as separate ones for Scotland,Wales,IOM.

Why the separate files? Is there more detail?

There is no advantage in the separate files.
Its the same for Portugal map and then Spain & Portugal. Its always the same data but its just to reduce download size for those who do not need it.

For example, if you are in Scotland and only need Scotland there is not point in downloading the full GB map.
