Hmmm, that’s a beta version of the OS? Could very well be a bug in the beta testing OS. You have another phone you can try it with? I know that it worked on my Galaxy S20U5G with Android 13, but you’re already on a 15 beta version, have no clue if I’ll ever see that on my old phone!

This will probably suck, but maybe roll back to version 14 and see if the samsung will then talk via bt. Although, it will be much easier if you have an old phone somewhere, or maybe the wife’s/girlfriend’s? Or just piss one of your riding buddies off and snag his phone for about a half hour! LOL!

i tested it on 3 devices. No notification between any of them, doesn’t matter with is host.  🙁

I think you’re gonna have to get in touch with Joao or John about this. It worked first try on my setup, but I have a DMD-T665 as the receiver, just had to update to latest version and turn on notifications, then install DMDHub on the samsung and pair it.

As a test, you could try running NotifMate by Aeri-Gear, but that one requires installing it on both devices, similar to DMDHub. You can then tell it which one is receiver and which one is sender.

I will give it a try, thanks

It doesn’t show for me on play store. It might be region restricted (?)

If you guys want to help improve the Android app for notification mirror i think there is some stuff we can do.
For me to debug i need the following information:

-What device is running DMD2 (Device model and Android version)
-What device is running DMD Hub app (Device model and Android version)

I will assume both devices are BT paired.

it looks like my bletooth connection is interupted or something. On samsung there is information of possibile internet over bluetooth but that’s all . I’d say it’s not connected at all and this has to be why i don’t get any notif. Every other setting was controlled again and is set as instructed 🙂

When you pair both devices there will be no “connected” state, they are just paired.
The connection to send notification data is made over a BT Socket (Host-Server) and only when that happens (which is done by DMD2 app) will the devices state will show as “connected” in the BT menu.

For me, the DMD Hub app is a no-go, as it uses Google Play and I cannot run the app with the Play services check. I’ve done a TON of research and tests for the other app I’m using, and I have the other app working perfectly, but it required me to remove Samsung’s phone app and install a different app, see my notes on your discord channel for more info on it.

Its unfortunate, but whatever Samsung, and from my research, several other brands too, installs into their phone app to block any push notifications via BT is the issue with both apps not working as intended. If you’re able to dissect their app and determine what line of code does this push notification block, and you can find a way around it, that would make the app absolutely perfect. Other than the phone push notification (which to me is the most important notice I think most of us need to pass to the second device), the other apps work great, including texts!
