DMD Remote 2 and MyRouteApp Navigation Next on T665

Hi, Does anyone have any experience of using a DMD Remote 2 Controller with a T665 nav device using MyRouteApp Navigation Next (MRA NN) as the routing app. I am an on road biker doing long road tours and I have been using MRA NN successfully with the T665 device and would now like to add more functionality (zooming in and out and panning for example) hopefully given by a DMD Remote 2 Controller. Any feedback would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi  Carl,

I’m using MyRouteApp since many years – now on a T865-X and DMD Remote-2 controller – and I’m so happy. Currently, MyRouteApp supports a couple of different controllers – but unfortunatelly not for this one. In the App, you need to select the correct controller you are using (there is a profile for each).

Currently, I’m using the profile for “WunderLINQ” – by this, I can use the 4-way joystick for zooming into the map (which is most important to me).

But I’m in discussion with MRA developer to get a profile also for DMD Remote-2 controller soon.

Do you do a lot of off road riding as well?

I have not yet bought the DMD Controller 2, but will do. I am trying to work out how best to mount it on a BMW R1250GSA!

What motorbike do you have the T865-x mounted on?

I will send a post to MRA too soon asking them to look into making a profile for DMD Remote-2

Hold on! If I’m right, then you can use the special “wheel controller” of BMW motorbikes as remote control. So may you don’t need an additional controller! See support site of MRA. At input settings, you can select Carpe Iter BMW Control too. May it’s working with DMD device too.

Check it before buy another controller 😉

Hi Rainer, unfortunately the situation is more complicated. In order to get the BMW multi-controller to interact with MRA, it is necessary to install the Carpe Iter BMW Control kit. In the DMD Remote controller settings there is the possibility to select the Carpe BMW Controller as the Remote Controller. This might be a good route to explore more, but I suspect that the Remote 2 controller will allow greater control of DMD Dashboard and other apps. I agree more research could be useful. I will post a question to Joao.

Hi Rainer, recent research has brought me around to thinking about getting the WunderLINQ controller for my bike, installing it in the Navigation Preparation, for it would enable me to use the BMW multi-controller with DMD and apps such as MyRoute App Navigation Next. Clearly you have found the WunderLINQ profile to be very useful.
