Delete or Remove Unused DMD2 maps

I am running low on storage with my android device, I want to add more GPX for a trip.

How do I remove downloaded DMD2 maps to free up space.

I do not remember the exact steps however if you go to the area in the app where you downloaded the maps you will find a delete or remove map button you can tap on. Search there for your answer. If you cannot find it let me know and I will try to post the exact steps.

I’ve seen on the FB group that some users have moved the “map” to an SD Card..

I would not move maps to a SD card if it can be avoided. About once every 1-2 years (unpredictable) I have to remove and clean the SD card contacts on a high quality device and card. If this happens during a tour I would need to remove the nav from the bike, remove the case, remove the SD card, clean and then reverse the process. And this is assuming I am in a clean location to perform such surgery. No thanks. SD cards are unreliable in my opinion.

On the map screen, tap the Icon “GPX”,
there you can see a list of all gpx files, you have loaded to DMD,
there is a big (blue) button to load new files,
there is also a (red) button to delete files (you need to select at first on screen that one you want to delete).

Be carefully, there is no second question like: “do you really wnat to delete?”.

EDIT:  ahhh – sorry, just see you wanted to remove/deleted maps (not delete tracks/routes). Please ignore my post.

Bonjour, je rencontre également des problèmes de capacité mémoire car la mémoire interne de ma tablette Galaxy TAB3 est un peu juste (64Go). J’ai modifié le paramètre pour que la mémoire utilisée par l’application DMD2 soit la mémoire externe carte SD (128 Go), sauf que rien ne migre sur la carte SD (contrairement à ce qui est indiqué quand je regarde les informations dans les paramètres de l’application). J’ai tout transféré manuellement sur la carte SD ne laissant que les dossiers vides, l’application démarre, mais elle ne va pas chercher les infos sur la carte SD. Quelqu’un a-t-il déjà constaté ce fonctionnement, avez-vous réussi à faire fonctionner DMD2 depuis la carte SD ?

I have the same problem and device. External memory is not recommended. I would recommend freeing up as much internal memory for the maps as possible. And also unloading maps that you will not use for the next ride.

Another option would be buying a device with more internal memory.

If these are unacceptable there is one more option. If you side load DMD2 then it will allow you to use the external memory. The file to download is here on this website. However when you side load DMD2 you will need to buy a one time license to download any maps. The yearly subscription is no longer an option. I have forgotten how much the one time license costs? Maybe someone can post it here or maybe it is available on this website?

Merci pour ton retour. C’est dommage, certaines applications comme Osmand migre toutes les données sur la carte SD. Leurs fonctionnements ne sont pas identiques, mais on voit que c’est possible quand même.
