Cannot update DMD2 update on CI pad

I have a CI pad with DMD2 installed.
The tablet is on Android 13.

DMD2 installed from the apk (so not play store). Version installed currently is 3.00180

When I start the tablet it pops up with a ‘DMD2 Update available’
I accept the update by clicking Yes.

The Downloading DMD2 Update screen shows up but the download progress remains empty as seen in attached image. It never finishes.

What can be wrong? Or there permissions somewhere I need to set?
I can download maps and do online searches in DMD2, so internet access should not be a problem

Probably DMD2 does not have access to storage, in the CARPE tab that seems to happen when you update to Android 13.
In that case you need to clear the DMD2 app storage, like this:

Hi João,
Tried that, but not what I expected.
What I tried now:
Completely uninstalled the app
Reinstalled from the downloads folder
Opened the app
Configured all permissions (including allow of Install unknown apps)
Installed the license again
After that, I can again download maps, but updating the app again does not work.

Of course I can download latest version again and update it from Chrome, but would be nice if the auto update feature in the app worked.
BTW: this is the tablet of a friend, on my own T865 it workes like a charm

Like how the Thork T-685 isn’t compatible with some apps, the Carp Iter may not be either. The Carp Iter website does not show DMD as a supported app. Maybe the app installs fine to your tablet, but then when it calls home for an update request, your tablet is recognized as not being officially supported and the update fails.

Possibility?
