ParticipantI have the T865X tablet and the CARPE CI Controller. The controller used to work very well, after choosing the right controller profile in DMD.
Now, with the new DMD version with the individual controller key mappings, I can’t make the long press on the joystick to activate the bottom menu like it used to.
I tried several times to map the keys and most of the functions work, but the long press for activating the bottom menu doesn’t work anymore. How can I do that with the CARPE CI Controller?
Suggestion: DMD should have a mix between profiles and individual key mapping. For the Thork and Carpe controllers we should still be able to choose from a list of general profiles by model with all the mappings done. Then, if needed, we could change individual key options…

ParticipantI’m not familiar with the Carpe CI controller. Do you mean the Cape Adventure controller?
If that’s the one you have, long press on the [enter] button is typically the one to access the bottom menu.
Works fine for me. Maybe check the settings. In the controller setup it’s the first option: Global->Bottom Menu Focus. For the Adventure Controller you want Key Code:66.

ParticipantFor the Carpe CI Controller (the one in the photo below), it used to be pressing down the top rubber joystick center. Doesnt work anymore with the new DMD2 version!!!
Tried multiple mapping combinations but can’t have it working with this new controller module. It sucks, since this controller was bought from Thork.
Can’t we go back to the good old controller profile method, maybe as an option? This button mapping feature could be useful if didnt break things like it did… Like this I would rather have the old method. Worked flawlessly.

ParticipantI think that controller is NLA. However, you might get some answers if you post on the Discord channel. The developer monitors there.

ParticipantWell, not being available anymore doesnt mean that it should be out of support… when a new model is launched we shouldnt be obligated to send the older away… This one was bought from these guys less than 2 years ago…
The hardware is fully functional, and I really like the form factor of it… And until this last DMD2 version screwing with the key mappings, it was working perfectly.

ParticipantHi João,
The key mapping feature is not working correctly for the Carpe CI Controller. The long key press to access the bottom menu stopped working and not able to map it…
Can you please check what is going on?

ParticipantI can confirm the issue with the Carpe CI controller, also purchased at Thork racing: I’m using the CI controller with a SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and DMD 3.00170. A fix is highly appreciated…

ParticipantPlease provide a solution – other users are also using such a controller.

ParticipantPut a thread in the Discord where they track bugs, and keep the threads together. I think I’m experiencing the same as you.

ParticipantI use the Carpe Iter pad and the adventure controller.
I’ve been trying to program the controller buttons for a while now. I’m getting desperate. For example, I can’t configure a long press on the + button, for example.
Why can’t there be a selectable default setting with the previous configuration for the controllers sold by Thork Racing? I understand the desire for individual programming and this function to use any controller.
Carpe Iter has also just released an update to the controller firmware. I hope this isn’t counterproductive.
Please, please simplify the controller configuration for the standard controllers again. I’ve been using the pad and DMD2 for many years and have been through many ups and downs with it in recent years.
Last year I was finally somewhat satisfied (apart from occasional charging problems). And now this…
I just want to drive with the device without any worries.
