As a longtime Garmin user and now DMD2 convert, one of things I miss is how Garmin treated tunnels. It would assume when entering a tunnel that you keep the same speed and lock you to follow the route at that speed. I find this useful in longer tunnels especially those with a junction! (Obviously at the junction it has no idea which you choose but just having the map view update to an approximate current position really helps) It also makes it much less disorienting on long tunnels when you emerge from a tunnel and the map view suddenly tries to catch up.
