Hi,
New to this and hoping that it will be my future method of navigation, as I have now lost count of how many times that I have lost my voice while shouting at my Zumo XT witchcraft GPS !
I have downloaded the app ( yearly subscription ) to my old Samsung S10+, and thought that all was good until I tried to input a coordinate search.
I can navigate perfectly by using the long press method on the offline map ( which I will be using ), but when I try to input coordinates to the same location, the error message ‘ Missing Calculation Files, re-download your map files ‘ appears…three times I have now done as requested ( uninstalled / re-installed ), and have also uninstalled / re-installed the app, but with the same error appearing !
My plan is to use this app with a Samsung A3 or similar, and this is an amazing tool with everything that I need to travel..except navigation by coordinates, and I really need this feature.
It is more than likely something I am doing / have done wrong but I cannot see anything I might have missed during the setup..anyone able to give me some pointers ?
My phone does not have a SIM, and neither will the tablet I am planning to use.
Maps installed using WIFI at home.
The option to use External Storage for maps is not highlighted as I do not want to re-format my micro SD due to there being other apps installed on there that I need to use.
I did previously try to send the maps over from internal to SD , before reading the part where it tells you to format the SD specifically !
But I can however navigate to a place on the map by touching the screen ( long tap ), so that would appear to me that the calculation files are installed ??

One of the most common error when users insert coordinates is using comma instead of point.
I just tested the coordinates insert and it works just fine.DMD2 Project Manager & Lead Developer

This was entirely user error, my mistake ! When inputting the Easting I automatically put a zero in front of the single number ( as I have been used to doing with my Garmin device )..if I had looked properly I would have noticed the negative ( – ) character in the suggestion .
Coordinates are working perfectly..but, when I opened the app this morning I received the error message stating that the system was waiting for map files to be transferred to SD and would I like to abort, which I did.
But then there was no map data available !
I uninstalled / re-installed the app and everything seems to be ok, and also after several restarts of my phone during the day..the option in settings to use SD card is un checked.
I’ll check again in there morning but I am hopeful that not was simply a corrupted install ?
