In the current DMD2 version V2.9903 there is no map download possible for me (Android 8.1). Neither on the system memory nor on the SD card. I reinstalled V2.77, in this older version the map download works fine. Thanks Ben
I just double checked on my devices and maps download just fine as long as you have enough storage space.
