    Hello dmd fans,

Just installed the new Silverfox C1 controller via the wired option, Bluetooth off.

The T865 recognizes it as an H1, thus the panning joystick works (although very sluggish).

The other joystick does not work.

    Latest DMD software installed.

Is it possible to manually install the C1 ?

The button App does not give options to reset, or select a different controller.

How to reset the system, so I can retry?

The silverfox controllers installed by wire should be Plug and Play ???

Also in a Bluetooth connection it is still recognized as an H1…

    Can anybody help, please ?

I have the C1 also on a 865.  I don’t use the cable connection, bluetooth I find is the better option.  It all works just fine for me.
Yes, the button app shows H1, not sure that is important, but the tests all work. Both joy sticks work.
DMD button configuration is there and works.
You may find different applications behave differently when switching between F1 F2.    I tend to stay in F1 and use DMD maps and Osmand.   All seems to work ok for me.
I found an issue when using a cable connection, if both 865 and C1 powered on together the C1 does not connect (serial connection).  Power on the 865 first then the C1 and all works.   This is not the case with Bluetooth.
i guess it will get fixed at some point, so my opinion is use Bluetooth, also I believe using this method is less susceptible to the many software updates that come through.

Thank you Robert for your in-depth help.

I did some experimenting with the buttons app today. On F1 , the panning joystick works. The other joystick is like I mentioned before acting as the H1 buttons. So Button 1, 2 and 3 on testing.

Now, 3 functions should be needed, Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Center. In the buttons app, the Zoom functions are programmable and it does work now. Moving forward as Zoom In, and moving backwards Zoom Out.

The Center function is nowhere to be found. It would be so great to have the Center function on moving upward.

That leaves downward (long hold) for switching between Function 1 and Function 2. The momentarily downward could be used for some other function.

    Questions:

What setup do you use in the buttons app, and what functions did you program on which movement?

Have you found a Center function?

Or are you using an alternative app? If yes, which one?

Also in the bluetooth connection, I do get regular pairing questions while driving. Switching bluetooth off, the T865 keeps the C1 as H1 in memory, until you switch it off, then the pairing process must be started again. Quite cumbersome for a so called “Plug and Play”.

I hope that the DMD folks can write a software solution OR the SilverFox makers come up with a working C1 !

Thanks for your time, highly appreciated…

You’re correct, there is no Center option when configuring the functions in DMD maps.

do you have an email ??

front joystick: up is F4, down is F3, right is F2, left is F1

side joystick: up is F5, down is F6, right is F7, left is F8

So i have, relative to above
front joystick: pan up, pan down, pan right, pan left

side joystick: F5 nothing, F6 nothing, F8 zoom out, F7 zoom in.

I’m running android 14, latest update.   Button app version 1.48
To be clear i have the 865x but that should not make a difference  I power both independently and use Bluetooth

with Bluetooth, how many devices do you have paired ?  Need to keep it to a minimum, say no more than 5.

This H1 I also see, but I think it should not make a difference    During the test you will see a number that corresponds to the movement, that when configuring in DMD, and the F(n) movement (as above) gives you the movement function you want

Do all the joystick movements work in Button tests ??

There is new firmware released today.  You should receive an email from SilverFox.

Also recent DMD2 update to version 3.00181 and Button app  version 1.48 has cleaned up/fixed some cosmetics and bugs.

C1 image now shows in the button app for instance.

    All is good 🙂
