    I have a new android phone with android 14 installed.
    When I install dmd2 on this phone the storage on sd card option is missing on the gear wheel menu?
    It is there on my old android 11 phone but that phone has no sd card option.
    When I go to format the sd card in the new phone it can be and is formatted as external storage.
    Why do I not have the store maps on sd card option?

    i also now have tried the beta download from the web site, which before instal ation android14 asks if i trust the source as it notfrom playstation. . I agrre and dmd2 installs, but, as you go through the instalation questions itcomes to notifications and yes click send you to permissions pagewhere dmd2 is greyed out sothe installation cannot proceed ,

    Only the APK (the one you downloaded) allows for SD Card use if the system is higher than Android 12.
    For the permission request you are getting you need to enable restricted settings.
    Usually to enable restricted settings you need to do something like this:
