Hi,
When DMD2 is set as the home app, does the screen-saver turn off the screen after a certain period of inactivity or does DMD2 keep everything powered up as long as it’s the active app?
Possible scenarios – neither is desirable:
1. Stuck in traffic for a few minutes and the app goes dark, requiring fussing with the device to get things back up and running.
2. Device is powered from bike. Reach your destination, turn off the bike, but the device (and screen) stays on using device battery.
Just wondering about possible options to avoid either or both issues.
Thanks!
When DMD2 is active it stays on. Scenario 1 avoided.
When mounted on bike and powered from bike the auto-off function can be configured to cut power when engine/ignition is shut off. Scenario 2 avoided.
– This solution requires you to use a device that can detect when ignition is turned on/off. The DMD-devices does this.
Does this help?

Yes, thank you! I’ll have to test my device on the m/c to see how it responds.
