I recently bought a T665 to move around quickly when riding different bikes.
On my KTM EXC-F, I purchased the new heavy-duty mount, which works fine as a holder but cannot keep a constant charge to the device.
When mounted, the device constantly connects and disconnects from power, vibrating, and draining the battery very quickly – this is true whether the bike is running (vibration-induced) or not.
This does not happen on my other bikes with the “old” metal mount and the same device.
Is someone else using the new mount with the T665? Are you experiencing the same problem?
Thanks!
I am also experiencing this issue.
I don’t think to the extent that you are though.
I’m not sure vibration is the cause in my case. Seems to occur for me when I go from high to low RPM, I believe the voltage is dipping and activating the AutoOff app, at least that’s my theory. Still get enough “intermittent” juice to keep the device topped off.
I just don’t use AutoOff anymore which is a drag.
Also I own the previous two revisions of the T665 mount which don’t share the same issue.
It was suggested to me on the Discord to clean the contacts and check the wiring, both yielded no results.
My device is going back on warranty on a possibly related matter (Power button seems to have a mind of its own). I will let you know if that addresses the issue once it’s back.
